From the time I realized the full impact hemophilia would have on my life, I chose to never let it set boundaries as to how far I can go. I have matured since then and have now realized that in addition to never letting it constrict me, I will now use it to empower myself, and the dreams I have set. The ladder is a representation of my drive and determination lying on the earth, which is also demonstrated by the tree’s shadow expanding in the distance. My photograph, “Growing Under the Light,” is a reflection of my tenacity when trying to accomplish a task, or envision my future.
